Note. This top quality merino wool and mulberry silk blend, includes 2% elastane (Lycra) for optimal movement and does not itch. The characteristics of both fine and soft fibres are underlined in this exclusive blend, making it a memorable experience that is ultimately beneficial for the skin.

Health. The merino wool/silk blend optimally supports a healthy skin and helps to prevent hyperthermia. These are by far the very best materials out there, continuously balancing the skin’s optimal barrier function. Wool and silk are highly temperature adaptive, regulating cutaneous respiration, oxygen exchange and moisture. It can absorb up to one third of its own weight of moisture and, pending external conditions, return it to the environment. Ynside’s products do not release harmful microplastics or toxic exposure to the skin.

Care. Ynside’s wool/silk blend is dirt-­repellent and regenerates by airing. Wool and silk laundry should be washed and rinsed very carefully with gentle detergents in the wool cycle of your washing machine or by hand in lukewarm water, do not wring or rub, otherwise it will become matted.

Sustainability. The soft and cosy Merino virgin wool for our wool/silk blend comes from organic farming practices and is certified by the Global ­Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). Merino wool/silk products requires less frequent washes because it is a breathable, odor-resistant, quick-to-dry material. The wool comes from Merino sheep in their natural environment, which are organically farmed and therefore live a healthy and stress-free life. The Mulberry silk is ­extracted from the cocoon of the silkworm. The usage of pesticides is forbidden both on pastures and trees and on animals.

Technology. Ynside uses plasma treated wool. Plasma is a pioneering anti-shrinkage wool treatment technology without using chlorine. The process uses electricity and air, an important environmental leap forward. In addition to improved washability, plasma treated wool has a better pilling performance, and improved ability to absorb moisture than conventionally processed wool.
